10 years ago, I started coaching adults and children with SEN/Disability. Not only improving their physical well-being but also improving their mental health.

Travelling around to various locations, homes, and day centres to provide a service our local community was missing.

In 2018 I opened a very inclusive gym, based in Bishops Stortford, a place where everyone is welcome.

Just a year and a half after proving a success, we like many others were hit financially by the pandemic.

In 2022, some changes were made to the gym, now known as Apex Strength and Wellness, a place where anyone can come in and train, without any fears, embarrassment, or lack of confidence.

A place where every ability and disability, age is welcomed.

Providing a safe space for adults and children, with special needs to come and train, to feel part of a team.

To achieve what is deemed impossible, we break the barriers and we together prove that we can do it.

Helping individuals feel confident to walk without a stick, watching someone achieve something that we take for granted.

We provide members of our local community with routines, structure, a better quality of life, providing physical activity which is so important for all of us.

Yes, there are many gyms in the area, but there are NO gyms that provide the support we do for those with special needs.

Apex is more than just a gym!

Without Apex the local community will have a loss, another place where individuals feel safe is gone.

My passion is to carry on providing this.

I train a whole variety of individuals, those on the autistic spectrum, down syndrome, cerebral palsy, and the elderly.

Without your help and your support unfortunately Apex will shut and I know that the current people that train here will no longer have a place they can train. (Which breaks my heart)

This gym is more than just a gym and to see it close will be heartbreaking for those in the community who benefit from the services we provide.
