Help Me Save My Children From The Horrors of War In Gaza

My name is Karim Timraz. I live in the Gaza strip with my family. On that tragic night of October 20, 2023, our lives were forever changed as bombs rained down on our home in Gaza. I still recall the chaos that unfolded – the cries of my four young children (Amr 14, Youssef 11, and twins Adam and Mohammad 1.5 years old), the suffocating dust, and the overwhelming sense of helplessness as our four-story house collapsed around us.

In the midst of the devastation, we desperately searched for our loved ones. Tragically, my elderly parents, my younger brother, his wife, and their children, as well as my sister and her children were among those lost to us in the rubble. The pain of their absence weighs heavy on our hearts, a constant reminder of the merciless toll of war.

For 70 agonizing days, we sought refuge in a makeshift tent at a nearby hospital, surrounded by the echoes of loss and grief. My children, wide-eyed with fear, clung to me as the sounds of explosions reverberated in the distance. It was a daily struggle just to provide the basic necessities of life for my young children.

However, as the conflict persisted and danger drew nearer, we knew we had to find a way out of Gaza – a chance for safety and a future for my children. However, the cost of leaving is a barrier we cannot overcome alone.

That's why I'm turning to you, our global community, for help. We've launched this GoFundMe campaign to raise $40,000 to fund our exit from the Gaza Strip to escape the conflict in Gaza and rebuild our lives in a place where my children can grow up without fear.
