Help me saving my family and rebuild our house in Gaza.

My name is Mahmoud Aby Sh3ban, a father from Gaza, my beautiful family consists of my wife Lyla, Essam's a boy son (not yet three years old), and Nada's baby girl (celebrating her 40th day of life). We were a happy family despite our simple life in our small house. I worked in a children's clothing shop, starting early in the morning and returning at midnight. Due to our work schedule, I rarely saw my children, wife, parents, or siblings until Friday, our only day off. Despite the challenges, we felt safe and loved.

Our small house was full of love, joy, and happiness. We had to flee our home to my grandfather's house. A few days later, nearby houses were under constant threat of shelling. We had to escape amidst the chaos, we hastily gathered a few belongings and our children's essentials. We then sought refuge at my aunt's house in Al-Nasr, where I experienced terrifying nights filled with the fear of death.

On the morning of Saturday, November 11th, as I arrived at what I thought was a safe house, I was startled by the sound of tanks and troops beneath us. The reality dawned that there was no truly safe place in Gaza, with bombardment, terror, and death everywhere.

The ceasefire, which had offered hope of relief from suffering, fear, and destruction, ended abruptly. As we faced new displacement, the sound of missiles and rockets became our morning alarm. We huddled in our house's corridor, watching shells fall dangerously close. Fear gripped our hearts as we waited for the worst.

The attacks persisted, leaving us in continuous terror. Essam, not yet three, expressed his fear of death, having already encountered its many forms. We fled to a school, but the first night was harrowing for everyone, especially baby Nada, who cried in fear at the sounds of rockets and missiles.

Our nights were filled with exhaustion and discomfort, as we shared overcrowded sleeping spaces and faced cold and hunger. We endured these hardships for 45 days until we had to evacuate due to increasing suffering, starvation, and scarcity of basic supplies.

We ate animal feed out of desperation, which caused illness among us. The discovery of a sack of flour and instant soup brought immense joy to my cousins, Zakariya and Abboud, and briefly eased our worries. However, the limited provisions reminded us of our ongoing struggle. We long for the day when this war ends, reuniting us with loved ones displaced to the south, healing our wounds, rebuilding our homes, and restoring laughter to our children's faces. We hope that this story reaches every human, igniting compassion and support for my family's survival.

This fundraising campaign aims to save my family, including my mother and three sisters, from death and displacement. We seek to provide a better life for our children, cover their psychological needs, rebuild our destroyed homes, and reignite our dreams and hopes for a future free from suffering.
