Help me save my family - Gaza

While you are reading this page, bombs are falling on my people in Gaza including my family, who are living through one of the worst catastrophes the world ever witnessed in the last decades and have been descripted as a Palestinian genocide. 2.3 million people, are going through a man-made famine. Water, food, and medication were prevented, alongside other living necessities such as fuel and clothing.

My family is everything to me my parents my two sisters, and three nieces. They lost their home, friends, and workplaces and were so close to losing any hope.

My Parents, Mohammed and Khadijah Najjar, are two retired old couple displaced for the third time in their lives by the state of Israel. In their 7th decade, they are tired of starting all over again.

My sister Dr. Lina, is a Gynecologist who has always served women in the Gaza Strip. Was forced to leave her patients behind and flee to southern Gaza after she was out of medical supplies in her clinic. She told me last time we spoke one of the most painful moments in her life “She felt helpless looking at patients and not being able to help them”.

Razan, My sister worked in an orphanage trying to draw a smile on their little faces. She is also an animal rights activist, where she collected donations, fed stray dogs/cats, and took these dogs and cats to vets to heal them. Razan managed to flee to the south with her 4 cats.

Alaa, Malak, and Jodi, my nieces 3 pretty young women who were raised under siege and saw nothing in life other than Gaza. They are funny, smart and creative.

Of course, they never met my son Daniel, who was 6 months old, but with your help, I hope they will.

Why Im asking for this amount

Brokers fee so they can cross the borders 40,000$ and I will still put another 40,000 for the rest of my family to cross

Flight tickets 1200$ X 8 = 9600$

Accommodation for 3 months 2000 X 3 = 6000$

Clothes since they fled and have nothing except what’s on them 8 X 500 = 4000$

Furniture beds and couches 5000$

Food, medicine for the 2 months 5000$

Preparations for school 1000$

Allowance till they find jobs and get over illnesses and poor nutrition they went through during the famine during the war within two months 5000$

Canada government fees for visa applications 8 X100 + 100 = 900$

Fleeing From Gaza and accommodation in Cairo till they issue their visa for 45 days 3000$

Total 79500$

Through the 94 days of war on Gaza I’m considered one of the lucky ones who knew connections and managed to transfer money to my family and my cousin with special needs to purchase whatever leftover food, medicine in Gaza and ease their transportation as they continually kept fleeing from one spot to another. But now I’m in a hard place to cover their expenses after sending almost all my saving to assist them of course being a new father cost me a lot.

I couldn’t stand by and do nothing; I wrote to MPs, met with lawyers, protested, raised my voice in the media, and created a pushing group to move my family to Canada while supporting my family and relatives in Gaza financially since the war started because everyone was out of work. The prices in Gaza skyrocketed due to the blockade.

I created this page asking for your help moving my family here in Vancouver. Being a new father, I wasn’t prepared financially for that. Yet I’m pretty sure the world won’t leave my family behind, especially after everything they went through. I will do everything possible to look after their physical, housing, legal, mental, and recovery needs.

My family raised me, shaped my personality, and created who I am; my family made me the person who worked for the Red Cross, the United Nations, and Human Rights Watch. My family made me the person who made you laugh and stand with you when you needed a shoulder to cry on. Please help me to save my family.
