Help me secure my family in Gaza

Hello!

My name is Ghali Abusamra from Palestine, specifically from the Gaza Strip.

I am reaching out to you for your support and generosity. I need you help me and my family to survive during this genocide. While I have been supporting them in Gaza, it becomes difficult to supply the essentials for my family to survive during this genocide. Moreover, it is impossible to collect the money needed to cross with my family to safe area.

My family and their displacement:

I have 9 children’s (Nour, Marah, Hala, Nagham, Ghazal, Oday, Mira, Sila and Mohammed). My youngest kids are the twins Sila and Mohammed they are 14 months old. We live in Alshujayia east of Gaza City. Once the aggression started on Gaza we evacuated and had to move at least three times.

We are currently in Khan younis, living in a tent on the street where we lack the minimum of humanitarian essential to support the kids. This life is cruel on the twins where I struggle to find them with formula or diapers. These minimum essentials for a any toddlers if found are very expensive. We first evacuated to Khan-younis at one of the schools and about a month later the building next door was bombed and we received flyers to evacuate the school. We left everything and moved to Rafah where we bought a tent, which cost $1000, in the open desert in front of the sea. My kids could not tolerate the cold weather nor presence of insect or snakes but at least I thought I put them in safe place. Suddenly the IDF bombarded the tents around us and threaten to invade Rafah then I decided to move back to Khan-Younis. No place is safe here.

From before sunrise, I put myself in danger every day to secure water and food for my kids.

My life before October:

We were just moved to our new house when I had the twins (14 months ago). I spent all my saving to provide my kids a decent life style. Our house where build with love and hard work. All what I work for gone when IDF bombarded my house. Right now, we do not have a house to return to if the genocide ended nor money to secure an apartment.

Your contributions would help fund the following:

• $40,000 for Permits and crossing fees: The bulk of the funds for this campaign will be used to cover the expenses associated with obtaining permits to leave Gaza and crossing fees required at the Egypt-Gaza border in Rafah. The amount breaks down to around $5000 per adult over 16 and $2500 per child. 5 adults and 6 kids

• $8500 immediate relief fund.

• Approximately $1500 to cover transaction fees for GOFUNDME (2.9% + $0.30 per transaction).
