Help me see my Nana before it's too late

I'm urgently raising funds to travel to Australia to visit my elderly grandmother in the hospital, before its too late.

This is my Nana, Pearl. She's almost 87 years old (her birthday is in a couple of weeks) and is my only remaining grandparent, as well as the grandparent I am closest with.

Earlier this week, my Nana suffered a fall. When she fell, she wasn't wearing her alert necklace and couldn't reach the phone to call for help. When my cousin found her, she was severely dehydrated and had to be transported by ambulance to the hospital.

While they were able to rule out a stroke or heart attack, she arrived with jaundice, acidosis, and they discovered a mass behind her pancreas. Her blood pressure is low, heart rate elevated, and her kidneys are hardening, meaning they are not functioning. She is currently in the ICU and my Mum is having to fight (while an ocean away) with the doctors about her end of life care, since her current directive (which is a basic agreement not overseen by an attorney) has a DNR in place --which is not what she wants. Overall, the prognosis is not good, and very honestly: I'm scared.

My family lives in the US, so this meant growing up, we only saw her and my Papa every few years. I haven't seen my Nana in almost 3 years due to finances, distance, and family difficulties, and I am just praying that I'll still have the chance to. However, I don't have the financial means to do this on my own.

The goal of this GoFundMe is to raise enough funds to fly to Australia to be with her, even if it's just for a few days. This would cover the cost of flights, but any additional funds would go to additional costs of travel, such as transportation while I'm in Australia, food, sim card, and any emergency costs. I also won't be able to work while I'm in Australia, as I'm a freelancer, so I won't be getting paid while I'm away either.
