Help Me Thrive in Makeup and Fashion Design

Hello there! My name is Natalie Pierson, but I frequently go by my artist's name, Maudlin, when I'm creating. Anyone who knows me knows I have an eclectic and eccentric sense of style. You also might know that I attended a makeup academy for six months in 2021 in New York, where I learned a lot of the tricks of the trade. I didn't go into makeup right then because I had to make rent in New York City and went into retail and administrative work for the steadier paycheck. Now that I'm in my hometown of the DMV, I'm eager to give my makeup career a second chance and hopefully become a full-time, full-fledged makeup artist.

As passionate as I am about makeup artistry, it happens to be a means to a larger end. I got into makeup to be close to the fashion world and now realize I want to be a part of that world, too! I already have sketchbooks upon sketchbooks of ideas and brainstorms for designs. Luckily for me, there is a program at Parsons School of Design that focuses on apparel designers who want to do most of their designing for an online user base—for online boutique owners, to be specific. This program sounds perfect for me, and I cannot wait to attend.

This is where you, dear reader, may come in. The tools, products, and materials I need to build my makeup business will likely cost me up to $1000. I know exactly what I need to have a thriving career and happy clients and would really appreciate the help getting there. As for my apparel design aspirations, the online Parsons design program is exactly $999 in tuition.

I have so much creativity and passion to offer the world, and I can't wait to get started.
