My name is Sidra Farooq, and I recently graduated in January 2024 from Forman Christian College and University in Lahore, Pakistan, with a Major in Political Science and a Minor in Sociology. Despite this significant achievement, I am facing a daunting challenge due to outstanding university dues that I am unable to pay. I am seeking your support during this critical period.

In my community, girls are often encouraged to marry early rather than pursue higher education. Defying this norm, I became the first girl in my family to prioritize my studies over marriage, enduring immense criticism. My father has passed away, and my brother is the sole breadwinner, supporting our disabled mother and our whole family. Although I work at a private school, my salary is insufficient to cover my outstanding fees of 760,000 PKR (£2,000).

Securing a good job in Pakistan without a degree is nearly impossible. Employers require my official degree and transcript, which I cannot afford at this time. Without these documents, my chances of starting a professional career are severely limited.
