Help Francesca to fund life-saving cancer treatment

Hi, my name is Francesca. I live in Co Wicklow with my husband and two teenage children. Last year, after a lot of mis-diagnoses and delays, they discovered I had Ovarian cancer. Originally they were convinced it was just ovarian cysts and subsequently appointments were delayed; unfortunately I had reached stage 4 on diagnosis.

Last year I had chemotherapy and surgery to reduce the tumour burden and all was going well. Then, in July this year, we discovered I had another tumour growing in my lower abdomen.

At this stage, all that is on offer in Ireland is intensive and ongoing chemotherapy, a dose of chemicals every 2-3 weeks until it doesn't work any more. This will deplete my body and render me unable to live a good quality of life until I face in to the inevitable.

In an extensive search for alternatives, I have found a reputable and successful clinic in Germany focusing on targeted, insulin-potentiated low-dose chemotherapy and complementary therapies such as diet and hyperthermia, designed to treat the cancer but also to boost my immune system and give my body a chance to fight by itself, enabling a good quality of life while targeting the tumour. I would love to be in a position to make this choice for myself; it is without doubt the most important choice of my life so far.

I deeply believe in the healing power of the body and mind, given the right conditions, and I believe I have a really good chance of seeing my children into adulthood if I can raise enough money to visit Germany. Reaching this goal will cost 30,000 Euros.

I know I became ill due to intense grief when I lost both parents and my beloved dog all within 18 months of each other. It was a really horrible time and my system obviously couldn't take the shock. I am now trying to make myself well on every level through food, positivity, healing and herbalism but it just isn't quite enough at this stage without the extra assistance of the team in Germany.

I have spent my life trying to heal and help others through energy work (humans, equines and animals) and through Equine Assisted Learning sessions with children and families: Now I ask for the help of others to help me to heal myself.

If I can become well enough for long enough, I also have a goal of setting up group Equine-Assisted sessions for fellow cancer patients to help them to have positivity, hope and peace in the face of a terminal diagnosis and to remain as joyful and as motivated as they can for as long as they can.

Horses are great healers and this is vital work that I need to do before I pass on - to help all of us who come through the doom, gloom and fear of the conventional cancer treatment system.

So I ask for your help for myself, for my family, and for other cancer patients who I know I can help in the future. Please help me to continue to go on raising my family and to help others.
