Help me to pay for Austin’s vet bill

Hi, my name is Lisa and I’m taking in a new Macaw who desperately needs his nails done. Austin is being re-homed with me soon and he will need to go to the vet to take care of his severely overgrown nails. According to my Avian vet, he will first need a check up to see if he is healthy and strong enough to undergo such a dramatic trim. That will be $150. Then, if they believe they can trim the nails without anesthesia it will only be an additional $35. But if they deem it necessary to put him under anesthesia it will be an additional $150. So worst case scenario will be $335.

It would make a world of difference to Austin to have his nails trimmed so that he can maneuver around his cage and perch properly. All the funds received will go toward Austin’s vet bill. Any excess will be placed in savings to help offset any follow up appointments he may need.
