Help me to publish my first novel The Nunavut I Knew
Donation protected
Waaaaay back in 2006, I traveled to Rankin Inlet, Nunavut to create an Art For Earth workshop for kids. I organized a community Earth Day celebration, I was a radio DJ host for an afternoon, I participated in several community events and I had some incredible journeys into the tundra. When I returned to London, Ontario I had the first few paragraphs for my novel already in my mind. I wasn't able to begin my adventures as a writer until 2020... when the pandemic changed the world. I was able to keep my job (as a Paratransit driver - helping people in wheelchairs get around the city) but since very few people were travelling, I had many hours to fill during my work days. So... I began to write! Here I am, over four years later, having recently hired an amazing editor and I'm looking for help to cover these costs... plus future costs (proof reading, layout, cover design, etc) as I work towards sharing my adventure into Canada's arctic. I've had several readers tell me that I simply must publish my book... and I am taking the needed steps... but I could really use a bit of support! Below, I'm sharing a Youtube video that is a segment from a news story that the IBC created at my Earth Day event, as well as a link to my website where you can learn more about The Nunavut I Knew. I appreciate your time and attention and I thank you in advance for supporting this effort!
This is a clip of the front page news story that appeared in the Kivaliq News that shares the story about my Art For Earth workshop!
