Help Medical Students in the Sudan war : Sanad Initiative
Donation protected
I am initiating this fundraiser on behalf of my colleagues and the Sanad Campaign by the Ribat Medical Students' Association. As a Sudanese and a Ribat graduate, I am keenly aware of their circumstances and the profound impact of the ongoing war. The effects of war extend beyond financial strain and encompass profound psychological impacts. The Sanad Campaign, organized by RMSA, aims to alleviate these burdens to the greatest extent possible.
The armed conflict in Sudan has had catastrophic consequences. According to official reports from the Sudanese Ministry of Higher Education, over 100 universities and higher education centers have been forced to close, primarily due to safety concerns and extensive damage sustained in the crossfire. The National Ribat University, like countless other institutions, has faced significant challenges in resuming its operations amidst the turmoil.
The Sanad Initiative, a student-led voluntary effort, was established to support our fellow colleagues during this difficult period. With the university's decision to open centers inside and outside Sudan, students, particularly those within Sudan, have confronted the harsh realities of the war economy. Many Sudanese have lost their sources of income and savings, further exacerbated by rampant inflation. As a result, the Sanad Initiative is diligently working to raise funds to aid students who are unable to secure living accommodations and transportation.
Education is a fundamental human right, and it is imperative that it remains accessible, even amidst adversity.
I am Musab Eltayeb, and i will be responsible for moderating this fundraising and ensuring the delivery of the funds to the Finance Committee of Sanad campaign through the most appropriate method.
