Early in the morning of July 11th, Megan and Mitch were jolted awake and discovered the garage next door to their carriage house ablaze. Mitch knew they had to get out of their home right away. With only the clothes on their backs, Megan and Mitch made it out safely, but they knew there was more work to be done. Mitch yelled up and down the alley- alerting neighbours of the fire. Megan pounded on the doors of the basement suite and main house. She woke both families, and helped them get out of their homes safely. In the moments they were losing everything they owned, their first concern was to help others to safety.
Mitch and Megan the morning of the fire with their only possessions.
The carriage house
As Megan and Mitch begin to rebuild their lives, they not only need to find a new place to live, they need to replace everything lost by the devastation. And they lost everything. Megan and Mitch need funds to replace clothing, furniture, bedding, kitchen items, and sporting/camping equipment, so they can get their lives back to normal as quickly as possible.
Any amount you can give will certainly help this amazing couple get back on their feet.
Thank you for your love and support for Megan and Mitch.
