Help Megs and Steph Pascoe through their living nightmare.

Hi everyone,
My name is Sarah Chippindale and I’m a marriage celebrant who had the privilege of marrying two incredible women, Megs and Steph, just over a week ago.
The girls eloped two weeks before and had their big wedding reception with all of their loved ones on the 19th of October.
Their love story is one of the best, and filled with so much love and strength which I know they will need in the coming days, weeks and months ahead.
I’ve formed THE most amazing friendship with them to the point of no return. They honestly feel like family and have since the day we started planning their special day.
They have a wonderful two-year-old son, Parker, and were excited for this new chapter of their lives together.
They had so many plans ahead and now they have all been shattered into a million pieces.
Last Saturday, just one week after the happiest day of their lives, the most unimaginable thing happened and I cannot begin to understand how the world can be so cruel and ruthless.
While mowing the lawn, Megs had a terrible accident when their ride-on lawn mower went down an embankment, resulting in very severe injuries to her leg.
She is so fortunate that nearby neighbors quickly stepped in to help her. These timely actions honestly help save her life. Megs was then flown to John Hunter Hospital, where she’s now in the care of an incredible team of doctors, nurses and surgeons.
Her beautiful wife Steph was also there to witness this and she helped assist in ways you should never have to help a loved one. Obviously the emotional trauma for both of the girls will also be an ongoing process they will have to work through.
I know that Megs is so grateful that Steph has not left her side since she arrived at the hospital. They are spending their “honeymoon” in the hospital and Megs is forever grateful to have the best wife in the world by her side.
I visited them in the hospital today, and while they are in good spirits, they both understand that many dark days that lie ahead.
This Friday, Megs will undergo surgery, and heartbreakingly, the outcome will be an amputation below the knee.
I know many of her friends may be reading this and finding out about the accident for the first time. I’m sure you’ll want to reach out with your love and support, but Megs faces a long journey of surgeries and recovery, which may make it difficult for her to respond. She is already so grateful for the love she’s received and will continue to draw strength from everyone’s support, even if she can’t reply to each message just yet.
In addition to this physical and emotional journey, their lives have been completely changed. Everyday plans have been turned upside down; we were even supposed to spend time together this weekend at my place, just enjoying each other’s company. Now, that’s been replaced with a path Megs and Steph never could have imagined—a journey of resilience and adjustment.
This time of healing will obviously demand their full focus, and financial burdens shouldn’t have to add to their worries.
With extended hospital stays, surgeries, rehabilitation, and time away from work ahead, Megs and Steph face a challenging road as they care for little Parker as well as manage their mortgage.
If every person reading this could give even $1, it would be a powerful show of support and would genuinely lighten their load.
Every donation will help them focus on recovery instead of financial stress, giving them a bit more peace during this incredibly difficult time.
She will need a to buy a prosthetic leg as well as a lot of other medical equipment for around the home and hopefully with this funding we can make sure she that has the coolest new leg one on the market.
I will keep you updated when I can although for now please send out as much love and strength to the universe for a fast recovery.
