Support Mel to get out of financial hardship.

Hey y'all.

Yesterday I woke up exhausted from a long work week with a cloudy head that needed a break more than anything. I started a new job recently and most of you know that it's been exactly what I needed for my current financial state. I was just starting to get out from rock bottom when I fell victim to a scam that landed me further back than where I was a few months ago. The scammers managed to drain me completely dry across my debit and savings account.

My visa is expiring in October and is going to cost me $11k with lawyer fees. I was already making plans to borrow money from friends to cover lawyer costs and have been living a very frugal lifestyle the last few months to barely scrape by to pay for the $8k visa cost itself.

Now with the scammers taking everything I had I am back at rock bottom and have no idea what to do. I can't get a loan here because it's too close to my visa expiring. I can't get a loan in the states because I'm not residing stateside. I can't even get my credit card company to pause my payments because there's not an "offer" on my account. If I want to stay in Australia - I can't afford it. If I have to move back to the states - I can't afford it. I am truly at a loss.

At this point this is the only thing I can think of to help me out of the darkest place I've been in. I've been in Australia for five year copping the sh*t end of the stick between arriving on a working visa two weeks before lockdown being unable to get a job for 9 months. Not being able to travel to do the regional work to extend my visa with the only option to stay at the time was doing a student visa that set me back $9k and limited my work rights. Now to this current situation where my last visa option is $8k and I currently have limited work rights which has not helped me reach any of my goals these last few years. If you know me you know I'm absolutely in love with Australia and will do anything in my power to stay here and be a hard working resident.

I just have to admit that sometimes people need help and the best thing they can do is acknowledge, accept, and ask for it.

So this is me asking for help.
