Help Melanie Rebuild After Hurricane Helene

Hi, my name is Brianna, and I’m reaching out on behalf of my dear friend, Melanie, who has been devastated by Hurricane Helene. Melanie is a dedicated employee of Manatee County and has always gone above and beyond to give back to her community and her selflessness shines through in everything she does.

Sadly, Hurricane Helene left her home on Anna Maria Island flooded with over three feet of water, mud, and sand causing extensive damage. Melanie has lost nearly everything — from furniture to appliances and personal belongings. Despite her strength and positive outlook, the weight of rebuilding her life from scratch is overwhelming.

As someone who has always been there for others, Melanie now finds herself in need of support. We are starting this GoFundMe to help her begin the long process of recovery and ease some of the financial burden. The funds raised will go directly toward:

Replacing essential items (furniture, appliances, electronics, clothing)

Covering home repair costs not covered by insurance

Supporting her with daily living expenses as she rebuilds
