Meli's Fight Against Womb Cancer
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Melissa; I'm 33 years old.
Last year I was diagnosed with endometrial cancer; it is a form of uterine cancer, also known as womb cancer. This cancer directly affects fertility and is affected by obesity. This past year I've had to undergo a series of appointments, procedures and testing, and I have many more to go. I have been undergoing fertility-sparing cancer treatment with the hope of maintaining my fertility so that one day I can bear children. Some of the procedures and medicine my doctor recommends as my best treatment options to control the cancer growth and help with preserving my fertility are not covered by my health insurance. In order to receive the treatment, I would have to pay out of pocket for the treatment which I have not been able to afford.
As I deal with my health, it is not just a physical and emotional toll but also a financial toll. It's been a year now trying to figure this out, and I realize I cannot do this on my own, so any help you can offer will help me work toward being cancer-free and hopefully one day becoming a mother.
Thanks for your support! Keep me in your prayers as I fight!
