Help Melinda Beat Cancer!

Melinda Miner was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma in December of 2019.

Melinda is a strong, thoughtful, giving, hard-working mother of three awesome kids.  As a single mom, she is the sole provider for her family. Her children Kaden, Carsen, and Ryleigh are the loves of her life. She has always put her kids first, making sure they have everything they need and at times making sacrifices to give them something special for their birthday. And as a NICU nurse, every day at work she diligently cares for infants who are fighting for their lives.


Her oldest son Kaden had Stage 4 Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma three years ago at the age of 13. Melinda was there for him every step of the way. Missing work to be there with him took its financial toll on their family, but once Kaden was in remission, Melinda worked relentlessly to catch back up, taking extra shifts at the hospital while still making quality time with her kids a top priority.

Now the one who is always caring for others is the patient in her own battle for life. Recently she said, “Never have I ever felt so broken and weak the way this disease has crippled me in the last month since I was diagnosed.”


Melinda is a warrior. She is fighting hard and still trying to do everything she can. She has been reluctant to ask for help because she has always been the strong provider for her family, but the current reality is that the chemo makes her so sick she cannot work very much, and with minimal income she struggles to pay the bills that are piling up. She has researched and exhausted every possibility to provide for her children while she battles this horrible disease. The situation has already become dire, and she still has five more months of chemo scheduled.
