Help Melissa and her daughter Layla

Hello, my name is Katelyn and I’m fundraising on behalf of Melissa’s friends, family and fellow coworkers in support of the recent tragedy of her daughter Layla. Layla is a beautiful baby girl who just celebrated her first birthday Monday December 13, 2021. On Friday December 17, 2021 Melissa received a call the no mother should hear, her child was unresponsive and in critical care. Layla had suffered a brain bleed and was placed on life support. December 21st Doctors gave the devastating news that there was no longer any brain activity. Layla passed away but in her death she was able to save others. Layla was an organ donor and her heart went to a 1 year old, and her liver and kidney went to a 11 month old.

 Melissa is faced with a long journey and hardship of medical expenses and funeral arrangements, when she should just be focused on healing and taking care of her son Kayden and family. I’m hoping this fundraiser will take some of the weight off during this time. We would appreciate all the love and support.
