Help Melissa Benner FIGHT CANCER!

Mike and Melissa Benner have been a part of the Bellefonte Little League family for many years. They have both given of themselves time and time again to aid in our mission. They are both fixtures at our fields, have made friends of many over the years, and have mentored hundreds of young boys and girls through baseball.

Many of you may not know this, but Melissa was diagnosed late last year with stage 2/3 breast cancer. She is currently undergoing treatment, and will soon be having surgery followed by more chemotherapy and radiation treatments. To date she is doing well, and her spirit seems well intact.

As you might imagine, there is another fight a family must undergo when battling cancer and that is the financial one. The myriad of treatments, tests, surgeries, and doctor visits can really make it difficult to continue to make ends meet, particularly when the treatments sap the energy one has to work. With that mind, the creation of this campaign seemed a great, logical way to allow those that know Mike and Melissa well, and even those that may not ,to join their fight by helping offset its costs. Please contribute any amount you can. Every penny will help ease their burden. Also, please share this campaign as far and as wide as you can.
