Help Melissa Bratton Gonzales cancer treatment

Hi my name is Tami and I am starting a fundraiser for a dear school friend of mine Melissa Bratton Gonzales. On September 24, 2021 she was diagnosed with Cancer. Here is her story One day she noticed that the lateral side of her tongue (left side) had a bump on it. The bump kept getting bigger and bigger, it was hard for her to eat, drink and even talk and it was very painful. She noticed it started out small about 2 months ago. She thought it was a canker sore and really was not that concerned, but the sore didn't go away. So Melissa went to see her dentist and they took X-rays and measured the area. At this time Melissa could tell by body language something was wrong. Three more people came into the room. With tears in her eyes Melissa looked at the Dentist and asked how bad was it? She told her that she thinks it is Cancer. She was referred to an Oral Surgeon who performed surgery on her. The spot on her tongue was so big they had to sedate her in order to remove it all. Less than 24 hours she got the News she was dreading she had Cancer. She was then referred to and ENT Doctor. She did go see and ENT Doctor where she was told she needed an ultrasound on her neck to detect any suspicious activity in her lymph nodes. They are going to remove them. But they did find another spot on the far back of her tongue She is scheduled for surgery on the 14th. She is scared but she has faith and believes that God is in control.
