Help Melissa, Carissa and Maverick Rebuild After Fire

Good morning, Our names are Stephanie and Ruth-Ann. We are reaching out for community support for our best friends, who are truly like family!

Yesterday afternoon around 2:30, Melissa and her 4-year-old son, Maverick were home on the second floor of their Fall River home when her son asked what that smell was! Mommy mode kicked in and Melissa grabbed Maverick and ran down the stairs! To her surprise the first floor kitchen was engulfed in flames! She held Maverick close and ran through the thick black smoke to safety with just the clothes on their backs.

So now what?

The red cross has reached out and started with some supports. However after a devastating house fire, this family is left with nothing. We are blessed that everyone got out safe however the harsh reality is now setting in for this family and Maverick is confused and really just wants to go back home to his space and his toys!

All of us are in shock at just how quickly life can change. We are doing what we can to help to get them through this impossible time. We are asking for donations here on this go fund me that will be donated right to them for the essentials ASAP!

We will also be accepting cash donations and gift cards at The County Fare in Somerset Ma located at 937 County St. Somerset MA for anyone who would like to help out!

Everyone managed to get out safely, and we will continue to be grateful for this small miracle. Now let’s give them a big miracle and help them through in this time of need! Even if you cannot donate we ask that you share the go fund me.
