Help Melissa Mulhern medical bills

Thursday night, our world came to a stop when our sweet Melissa unexpectedly had a massive heart arrhythmia that lead to cardiac arrest. Her husband Patrick saw that she was in need and called 911, then quickly got her on the ground where he started CPR with a neighbor to save her life.
Melissa was given a 10% chance to recover back to the person she was before the incident. Despite heavy odds Melissa was a warrior in the ICU and fought her way back to us. The medical staff at Jefferson-Torresdale have been amazing and wanted Melissa back just as much as her family. When she was taken off life support two days after the incident both hospital staff and family cried tears of joy. Nurses came in on their day off to witness the miracle.
During this time of recovery we know Melissa and Patrick have been concerned with paying medical expenses. Patrick was laid off 3 months ago and recently started a new job the week the event occurred. Their children have full coverage through the CHIP program but Patrick and Melissa only have a basic/ non major plan. Thankfully the new job, comes with insurance, but it will not start until May.
Melissa works as a special Instructor (“SI”) independent contractor who works with children who experience learning delays and learning disabilities. She has been worried about her kids since she woke from this terrible experience. She is devoted to the children and families she supports. Given her situation her case load has been reallocated to other SI’s and she will not be returning to work until she is fully recovered.
As of right now, we are asking for any help possible to alleviate the medical expense burden Patrick and Melissa will experience. No donation is too small. We appreciate the community we have and are forever grateful for the love and support every one has shown our family.
