On March 8th, 2025, Melissa was involved in a devastating car accident caused by a drunk driver who was driving recklessly on the wrong side of the road. What was meant to be a routine car ride transformed into a harrowing experience that has forever changed our lives. Melissa is a wonderful single parent to a 6 year old & a full time student.

In an instant, our world was shattered. Melissa sustained severe injuries, including several broken ribs, an open femur break, two broken legs, a shattered right patella, and one broken ankle. Melissa has since been fighting for recovery in the hospital's ICU. Each day brings new challenges as she navigates the pain and uncertainty of healing. The emotional toll on Melissa and our family is immeasurable, but the financial burden is equally daunting.

As we focus on her recovery, we are faced with overwhelming medical bills that are piling up. From the initial ER visit, emergency surgeries, the ICU stay, and ongoing rehabilitation, the costs are escalating quickly. We are reaching out for your help to ease this burden.
