Help Melissa Rosa Get a Service Dog for Health and Safety

Hello all, my name is Melissa, and I am reaching out for support during a challenging time in my life. Recently, I have experienced a series of falls due to a combination of health issues (POTS/Postral orthostatic tachycardia syndrome & EDS/Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome) that makes my health deteriorate overtime. These falls, particularly affecting my back, head, neck, and joint areas have become more frequent, and I am finding it increasingly difficult to navigate daily life.

To make matters more difficult, my family is sometimes unavailable to assist me when I need help with appointments or other daily activities. Because of this, I'm in need of a service dog- a companion who can offer me support, safety, and alertness when my health takes a downturn and at times when I need mobility and assistance the most.

The Service dog would be trained to recognize when I am feeling faint or unwell, alerting me before a fall happens which in most times, comes at random. This would provide an invaluable peace of mind, knowing that I have a companion who can help me stay safe during these uncertain moments. Additionally, a service dog will assist me in navigating everyday life, helping with tasks and offering support when my health makes it difficult for me to manage on my own.
