Melody's fight against brain cancer

My niece Melody is 4 years old and has recently been diagnosed with a cancerous tumor in her brain where it connects to the spine. The disease is called Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma (DIPG). The survival rate for DIPG is very low but Melody has a strong spirit. She and her family are going to do everything we can to beat this horrible disease. We can't imagine life without her.
Melody's mom Melissa (my sister) is a single mother with 2 other daughters. She is unable to work as Melody requires around the clock care. Because of this we are asking for assistance with medical costs and living expenses. Melody and her family will be forever grateful for any help big or small.
Kaiser told us that there was no hope, and that nobody survives DIPG, but Melody has been accepted into a trial by UCSF where they are going to do a biopsy on the tumor and try to find something that it reacts to.
