Help Melvin Taylor Sr Beat Cancer

If you know the Taylor family, you’d know that they are the kindest, most selfless people you could ever meet. They are constantly making people laugh, donating their time and resources to educate their community, serving as public responders, and volunteering at health clinics to provide medical care to those who can’t afford it. That’s why it is so heartbreaking to find out that Melvin Taylor Sr, their beloved husband and father, was just diagnosed with stage 4 liver cancer.

 

 

 

 

This news shocked everyone!

 

Melvin and his family had been communicating with the doctor’s office for a few weeks due to his change of appearance and loss of appetite, but on Tuesday, April 19th, after returning from volunteering at a Pathways To Health mega clinic, they decided to rush him to the E.R. to find out what was wrong with him. He was left overnight. The next day, the blood work and CAT Scan reported that there was cancer in multiple areas of his body, and it had already spread into his brain.

 

 

 

 

The doctors shared that there was nothing they could do. Since the cancer had already metastasized, they said it was inoperable and chemotherapy wouldn’t be effective. They gave him only a few months to live and offered to send him home or to hospice, but the family is not giving up!

 

 

 

Fighting to save his life!

He has expressed that he has the will to live. There’s still so much of his life that he hasn’t yet lived. He wants to walk his only daughter down the aisle on her wedding day, live to see his future grandchildren, and be there to grow old with his loving wife.

 

 

 

 

Melvin, a U.S. Marine Corps veteran, has alway been a fighter and he believes, along with his family, that he can beat this cancer with the proper, focused, holistic healthcare. They all are committed to helping him fight this by finding and pursuing programs that can help nurse him back to complete health.

 

This family desperately needs your help to cover the costs of getting him into a facility that can help as quickly as possible.
