HELP MEXICAN DANCER COVER ARTIST VISA COSTS
Donation protected
To my community,
Many of you know I have been living in the US since 2015 and I am able to work in the professional dance field under an Artist Visa. This visa has allowed me to accomplish many things I dreamed, including performing at Lincoln Center with SLMDances, performing at Queensboro Dance Festival multiple times with NK&D, becoming a teaching artist for elders through Alvin Ailey AIE, and teaching multiple communities across public schools in Manhattan, Brooklyn and The Bronx through Notes in Motion and Bay Ridge Ballet, as well as collaborating with many incredible artists across NYC.
My current visa is set to expire at the end of June 2023. In order to continue working in the NYC dance field, I must file to renew. Work visas are expensive and one of the primary obstacles in accomplishing legal status in the United States, which is why I am asking my friends, family and network to donate any amount possible to help me cover these costs.
Here are the expense breakdown:
Legal Fees: $4,000
USCIS Filing Fee: $460
AGMA Fee: $350
Printing + Shipping expenses: $190
With gratitude,
