Help MidSouth Immigration Advocates Meet Our Match
Tax deductible
Since 2013, Mid-South Immigration Advocates (MIA) has represented over 600 of our friends, family members, and neighbors at risk of deportation. Most of our clients are children or families fleeing horrific violence. We believe that expensive legal fees shouldn't be a barrier to family unity or safety from harm. More than 80 percent of our clients never receive a bill for our services due to dedicated funding that subsidizes narrow categories of cases; other clients pay a small, income-based fee.
After almost 6 years of focusing our resources exclusively on providing legal services, MIA is working to expand its capacity to provide legal services to a wider range of our community.
The Community Foundation of Greater Memphis is helping us reach this goal by matching our fundraising up to $14,500 through a Nonprofit Capacity Building grant.
Help us reach our goal of raising $5,000 during May 2019 towards our Community Foundation of Greater Memphis Nonprofit Capacity Building grant matching requirement!
This month-long push for $5,000 will take us right up to the finish line. We have already raised $7,386 since December 1, 2018 toward our total match requirement of $14,500.
This grant will be used for consultation and design services to create and implement a resource development plan. This plan will allow MIA to share awareness about our work while increasing unrestricted funds, which will provide MIA with the flexibility to offer more services to our community.
Please help MIA meet our match with a donation. If you are unable to donate at this time, please help by sharing this fundraiser. Thank you for supporting our work!
