Help Mia Rose Recover: A Journey of Healing

Donation protected
Since the tender age of 6, Mia Rose has faced the relentless challenges of anxiety and depression. Despite countless efforts to secure meaningful mental health support from various sources, Mia Rose's battle has been a solitary and arduous one.

As we are all painfully aware, accessing mental health care for young people has become increasingly difficult. Many families, including ours, have been left to navigate this frightening illness on their own. Mia Rose is one of those children — isolated, abandoned, and struggling to find the help she so desperately needs.

In Spring 2023, Mia Rose was finally diagnosed autistic. While this diagnosis provided some clarity, it also revealed the deepening severity of her depression. By this stage, the weight of her mental health challenges had become almost unbearable.

On March 22nd 2024, at just 13 years old, Mia Rose's battle reached a heartbreaking climax. Overwhelmed by the constant pain and hopelessness, she attempted to take her own life by jumping from the top of a building. This desperate act resulted in multiple fractures and the need for several operations to stabilise her spine, pelvis, and legs. Mia Rose is now mobilising in a wheelchair, fighting to recover both physically and mentally.

Mia Rose now faces a long and challenging journey towards healing. She needs extensive medical care, therapeutic support, and a nurturing environment to help her reclaim her life. We are determined to provide her with the resources she needs, but we cannot do it alone.

How You Can Help

We are reaching out to our community, friends, and kind-hearted strangers to ask for your support. Your generous donations will go directly towards:

• Medical Expenses: Covering medical equipment such as a suitable wheelchair and ongoing physical rehabilitation, as not all the therapy Mia Rose requires is available on the NHS.

• Therapeutic Support: Funding for specialised therapy sessions, counselling, and mental health services as required.

• Supportive Environment: Creating a safe and nurturing space for Mia Rose to recover and thrive.

Mia Rose is a brave young girl who has endured more than any child should. She has a long road ahead, but with your help, we can ensure she gets the care and support she needs to heal and find hope for the future. Every contribution, no matter how small, will make a significant difference in Mia Rose's journey to recovery.

Thank you for your kindness and generosity.

With heartfelt gratitude,

Mia Rose’s Family
