Help Micah Continue Her Education
Donation protected
My name is Micah Hamilton, and I am a rising sophomore at the University of the District of Columbia. As an international student from Jamaica, I came to the United States with the hopes of achieving my dream of becoming a Lawyer. However, my father's recent unemployment has created a significant financial burden for my family, making it difficult for me to afford tuition fees and continue my education. Despite these challenges, I have thankfully been able to maintain a 4.0 GPA in my freshman year while double-majoring in Accounting and Psychology. In addition to my academic pursuits, I am also the Chairperson of Membership for the UDC- National Association of Black Accountants and have conducted research on social robots with the National Science Foundation. These opportunities have been invaluable in shaping me into the person I am today, and I would be deeply grateful for any help in ensuring that I am able to continue my studies and professional growth. As the Fall semester fast approaches, I am currently facing a balance due on my tuition fees that prevents me from registering for my courses. Given the incredible impact that a higher education can have on one's life, it would mean the world to me if you could support me in my time of need. I am currently hoping to raise funds through a GoFundMe campaign, which I have created with the goal of covering my outstanding tuition balance. Any donation - big or small - would be appreciated beyond words and help to relieve the immense stress weighing on my family.
