Who’s Micaiah you may ask: Micaiah is a remarkable 16-year-old high school student who has always been known for her kindness, infectious smile and personality. So what happened? One day, what Micaiah and her family thought was a simple bump, turned out to be the shock of their lives - leading to a series of medical tests confirming the diagnosis of stage 4 Hodgkin’s Lymphoma.

Now facing the challenging journey of undergoing chemotherapy every other week for the next six months of her life; Micaiah remains incredibly brave, finding positivity in planning new hairstyles for the hair loss to come, due to the effects of chemo.

One can only imagine the toll it's taking on the entire family's physical and emotional well-being. Naturally, with this diagnosis comes considerable financial strain, with expenses piling up, as Micaiah, Kesha and Kevin will now make regular trips from Morehead City to UNC for Micaiah's treatments.
