Help Father of 4 With his battle with cancer
This is my father Michael Bouthillier and my name is Ryan (26). He’s the father of myself and 3 other children; Megan (10) , Kevin (11) and Tyler (14) and the brother to 3 younger sisters. He’s been diagnosed with stage 4 kidney cancer on the 14th of April and had a massive tumor on his kidney that was so large it affected his breathing. He went in for an operation early mid-May to remove the tumor. He’s left with a scar roughly 12 inches long and various cancer spots in his lungs that spread from the kidney. He’s been receiving treatments since the operation that have been proven ineffective by recent cat scans and the cancer spots on his lungs have grown by 2-3MM. He’s due to change treatments and start a new experimental treatment in the near future.
Originally, my Dad was planning on returning to work as soon as he could because the insurance he’s receiving is only 60% of his yearly income. It simply isn’t enough to support a family of 4 with young children and an unpaid house. The future with work is uncertain now as he can barely manage to complete normal day to day tasks at home and with the news that the treatment isn’t working it’s in everyone’s best interest that he takes it slow.
His bills are piling up on him and the current pay he’s receiving isn’t going to be sufficient for the coming months or years he’s trying to get better. I’ve seen him work more overtime hours in the past than I’d do of regular time at my own jobs. He’s overworked himself to give his family what they have and all of that is at risk.
I’m asking for this money to help secure the future for my little brothers, my sister, his wife and my father himself. I want my siblings to have a normal Christmas. I want Him and his wife to be stress free as much as possible during this time as it’s his best chance at healing and honestly I don’t think he has any options. If he can’t get help, I fear he could lose the house and worse.
Thank all of you for taking the time to read all this. Regardless of donations I’m thankful for your thoughts.
