Help Michael get to the World Games in Alabama

Hi my name is Ann & I’m the mother of Michael Pomfret

Michael is a Student at Manchester Metropolitan University , works part time at Sainsbury’s and he is a lacrosse player. He plays lacrosse at Stockport Lacrosse Club & MMU lacrosse . Michael is on the training squad for England Lacrosse for the worlds in 2023 .

At the age of 22 he has earned a place on the GB lacrosse team to play in the World Games in Birmingham Alabama USA in July of this year .

The sport of lacrosse hopes to make a good impression on the International Olympic Committee in Alabama & and gain a place at the 2028 Olympics . So very proud of Michael being a true pathfinder for generations of lacrosse players to come .

Until actually in the Olympics there is no funding at all . Mike has to fund himself . He is therefore actively looking for donations or a sponsor to help get him to Alabama .

He has been set a task of raising £2500 to get to Alabama . As a family we are doing football cards , car boots , running 10ks , hedge clipping , running music nights etc etc .

It’s a difficult ask in these difficult times but hoping this Go Fund Me will help Michael reach his goal .
