Michael Groissl- In coma needs help

Donation protected
Michael Groissl “World Traveler” needs help! He currently is in a coma in a hospital in Bosnia-Herzegovina. He had an accident and fell down a flight of stairs (face first). He has a broken orbital bone and nose, but most dangerously a severe head injury which has had him in a medically induced coma for 7 days now. This campaign is to help him cover medical bills and the unknowns after he wakes up, as we do not know what kind of condition he will be in. (as a US Navy veteran he uses the VA for his medical coverage- unfortunately this does not cover his medical expenses while overseas)
Michael served in the US Navy in Japan for 4 years and absolutely fell in love with seeing the world. Since being out of the Navy he has visited too many countries to count. He loves photography and selling his photos would help fund his traveling on a budget- all he ever needed was a backpack, a camera and a passport.
After spending much time in Central America he traveled through Asia and fell in love with Vietnam. He decided to live there for two and half years. He supported himself by becoming an English teacher at an elementary school in Hanoi, Vietnam.
He finally moved back to the USA in January 2019 to complete his college degree.  Among the classes he took was Russian. He loved learning the language and was even in his schools Russian club. This summer he headed overseas to do some backpacking in Eastern Europe and then to visit Russia and dive further into learning the language. After visiting Hungary and Serbia, he ended up in Bosnia-Herzegovina where the injury occurred.
The US Embassy has been as helpful as possible keeping the family in the know about his condition, but the language barrier has made things quite difficult.
The family will keep posting updates as to his condition, but ask that you keep him in your thoughts and prayers as this may be his longest journey yet.
Any contribution made goes directly to Michaels medical bills, rehabilitation and travel back to the US for continued care.  Any donation at all is greatly appreciated. Please share on as many social media out let’s as possible.
Thank you!
