January 8, 2024. It is with deep sorrow that I announce the death of Michael Gypsy Stratten which occurred on Thursday Jan 4th. Michael was at home surrounded by whom he loves, to honor my husband's wishes, there will be no funeral service. I invite you to please privately celebrate Gypsy's memory by writing on his Facebook page which will be kept open as a memorial. Thank you for your understanding at this difficult time.

NOVEMBER 5th 2023 Tomorrow begins the start of radiation and chemo 5 days a week for 6 weeks, holy mother of Mary.. Cancer brings a sense of loss of life, my poor Michael just a year ago we were coming off a great dog workshop weekend with people from all over the states came to learn and train their dog all defense all the time with Gypsy, Grand Master Dog Trainer. Today the training building sits cold and dark! I feel so sad and helpless when my husband is in so much pain on a daily basis, still sleeping a lot and not able to eat, he has such a hard time just to get up and walk, with the terrible side effects of the last round of chemo, numbness, pain and tingling in his legs and feet. All the progress we made 2 months ago getting him to gain 10 lbs , his weight is down again as the tumor is so aggressive. We need your support. I am worried that our truck is not going to handle all this travel. We need a good reliable, fuel-efficient car and some folks asked what we really need, that is it, I did some car research and have a couple in mind please reach out to me. Now I have to worry about winter bills and snow fall, we live in a rural area . I am working everyday here, I don't have days off, CANCER IS FINANCIALLY & PHYSICALLY EXHASTING. I hate to repeat this but we Gypsy and I have helped so so many people all around the world and now we still need help, your donation no matter how small can create a significant impact. Sept 26...Wow what an exhausting journey we have been on, I cannot believe summer is over and we are into fall and the battle continues. Pancreatic cancer has changed our life's, it's

like stealing my husband from me. He is tired, sleeps alot always in pain and consistently being poked and probed every week, he's being such a strong man! I will say cancer shows you who your friends really are! After the chemo stopped a month ago, because it was killing him, it was hard. Michael had to have another mri, pet scan, endoscopic ultrasound & blood work, they have discovered his kidneys are bad and could not use contrast in testing. Per the surgeon, there has been some shrinkage of the tumor, without the contrast we cannot see if the tumor is still hanging onto the blood vessels. Surgery is out for now; his body is not strong enough to handle it. No heart clearance and now he is scheduled for a left heart Cath procedure to see what's going on there, he'll have to have fluids for the kidneys before the procedure. They say cancer is a cash cow, well it drains you of all your financial savings and leaves you unable to make more or plan for the future. Winter is coming. Its time to fill the propane tank and winterize our home, we still need help, your donation no matter how small can create a significant impact. Update 8/24, This journey still has a long way to go. Our spirits were lifted last week as we thought we had some good news, only to find out that was wrong. Wow, we were floored yesterday seeing the surgeon. We still need some help, I am sorry to report, that these last 8 months have exhausted all of our savings! We are very modest living couple out here on the farm.The next few weeks are full of different specialist appointments, urologists, cardiologists, blood workups, f/u with the surgeon.Of course, they are all up north, driving more miles my 2008, as we are down to one half-working vehicle every trip is 150 miles. They want to rush Gypsy into an extremely radical surgery that will require a big recovery time if he makes it through. They say with all the weight loss he needs to get stronger over the next 3 weeks, eat all day and gain 20lbs! OMG seriously. I know I heard the Dr say maybe more chemo and radiation. And everything is hurry hurry hurry! Please donate and/or share, we also have a cash app $roakppda. I hate asking for help but we have helped so many folks with dogs and training, given so much free training advice, set up others in careers with free training and counsel and donated pups , now we need that help God bless you GOD BLESS US--- I am down and have more chemo treatments to go and possibly a major surgery in September. Greetings to everyone & all Dog Lovers my name is Michael, and most know me as Gypsy Master Dog trainer. I was stricken with illness in late December of 2022 after months of excruciating pain in my stomach not being able to eat and losing weight ( 60 lbs) intense suffering while my ever-loving stressed-out wife took me from Doctor to Doctor, blood tests, physical exams, biopsies, imaging test after test. In May we were given the extremely sad & uncertain diagnosis of Pancreatic Cancer. I have Pancreatic cancer and I have begun Chemotherapy. We are self-employed, and I have not been able to provide to our household income in 8 months. We have depleted 6 months of emergency monies and now sitting at a deficit. I am responsible for all outside work cutting grass cutting down trees kennel repairs propane in the tank, and vehicle maintenance and now everything is sitting at a standstill. My wife bless her soul has been doing everything here, she has had to stop her boarding of dogs ( more money loss) because she has to take care of our kennels which I used to do while she still tries to maintain our home, dog training business, all my medical appointments in which she takes me to everyone.
