Help Michael Overcome Cancer: Funding Stability for Healing

Donation protected
Michael, a disabled Marine, father of four, and widower, is currently facing the fight of his life against Stage 4 colorectal cancer. Last month, he underwent surgery to remove part of his colon, and he was scheduled to begin chemotherapy at the start of September as they found cancer in his lymph nodes.

Unfortunately, he'll have to take a break from chemo for another operation in November to remove a large portion of his liver, where the cancer has also spread. After healing from this surgery, he will resume another round of aggressive chemotherapy in the winter.

Despite the immense challenges he faces, Michael remains determined, but his current living situation is a significant source of stress for him and his children.

He's been desperately searching for a new home for himself and his family for quite some time now, as their current apartment is too small, overcrowded, and the conditions are appalling—dismal at best.

As a Veteran Section 8 Housing Voucher recipient, he’s encountered discrimination from landlords, making it nearly impossible to find a safe and suitable home for his family.

Additionally, transportation to and from chemo appointments is also a very pressing concern. Securing funds to help cover the cost of taxi/uber rides would help so much!

This would allow him to concentrate on healing without the added stress and risk factors associated with public transportation post-chemotherapy, especially since his immune system will be nonexistent!

Our hope is to ease some of the financial strain so Michael can focus on healing and recovering both physically and emotionally, without the constant worry of providing a suitable living environment and transport for himself. He needs every ounce of his energy, which is essential to his well-being and recovery.

Every donation, no matter how small, will make a significant impact!

Thank you for helping relieve the burden for Michael and his family as he battles cancer.

We appreciate your kindness and generosity!
