Our beloved Greasy Strangler has landed himself in the hospital!
Spoiler alert: He's hanging in there, but as no surprise to anyone, Michael St. Michaels is an enigma and the doctors are trying to figure out what happened so they can prevent it from happening again.
Michael was admitted to the hospital on March 1, after a wellness check was called when he missed his car pickup and flight for the Cult Classic Convention in Texas. While he has enjoyed being waited on hand and foot, Michael has not enjoyed his stay at the hospital. Currently the doctors do not have a release date as they are continuing to run tests and are now talking about putting radioactive blood cells into his body?!?! Science is wild.
Michael is now worried about the medical bills that will follow. He hasn't been able to work a lot, mainly trying to get to conventions in order to make ends meet which sadly aren't always lucrative. In addition, he has some HOA fees he owes on top of just normal living expenses.
If you are able to, please consider donating to help Michael pay for his medical expenses, as well as regular monthly expenses for a bit so he can rest and continue to recuperate once he returns home. Feel free to leave messages as well, as I'll pass them along to him on the phone and make sure everyone gets a response by him (but typed by me).

How the funds will be used:
- The first $6500 will be put towards Michael's HOA fees that are due.
- The majority of the donations will be used to pay Michael's medical expenses. While won't know how much he owes until he is discharged and receives a bill with what his insurance will or won't cover, what we do know that in 2022 the Kaiser Family Foundation said the average cost per day for being in a California hospital was $4,337 - not including testing, medicine and other expenses that might have been incurred during his stay.
- Any leftover funds will be put towards his living expenses through the coming months so he can rest and recuperate. They will also be put towards paying for transportation to and from any medical appointments.
(While the hospital can charge Michael for any pills he is taking, he considers himself lucky for the fact that they can't charge him for BEING a pill.)
