Help Michele O'Connor battle breast cancer

Many of you know Michele O’Connor. She is a realtor at RE/MAX Results and has been part of our real estate family since 2010. Several of you have had transactions with her. Michele specializes in listing Fannie Mae foreclosures. She is good at what she does – the ultimate professional. In her spare time, Michele rescues and fosters abused and neglected animals. It was a common occurrence for her to bring a dog to our office and introduce it to everyone. We would all watch the progress each animal made while in Michele’s care. It was truly remarkable! She has a heart of gold.

 

Michele was diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer in late summer. The cancer had already spread to her lymph nodes and her bones. That means Michele will always have breast cancer. The disease will have to be managed for the rest of her life. There is no cure.

 

Many people are asking how they can help Michele. Continued thoughts and prayers are always welcome for someone with a cancer diagnosis. The strength that comes from knowing that an entire community is pulling for you and has your back is powerful. To know that you are not alone in this fight is comforting.

 

Even though Michele continues to work throughout her treatment, the financial burden that comes from a medical diagnosis like Michele’s is incomprehensible to those who have never been through it.
