Help Tom and Michelle Rebuild After Storm

Tropical storm Helene has devastated Western North Carolina. Many people are in need. In my case, the home I rented in Bat Cave, NC, has been damaged, and I can't get to it because of three washed-out bridges, mudslides, and washed-out roads.
- I'm staying with wonderful people who took me in. There is currently no power, and cell and Internet service is improving. I am a carpenter but cannot finish existing jobs or start new jobs until power is restored and roads are repaired or replaced. I could handle all of this, but I have to move my life partner of 15 years out of the house we rented in Maryland by October 13, 2024. I have no place to move to, so I need to put our lives in storage while we find a new home. I don't need a lot, just a hand up to survive this unexpected life trauma. Funds will help me keep my bills paid and pay for moving and storage expenses until life returns to some sense of normal. Anything you can find in your heart to share will be a blessing to Michelle and myself.
