Help Michelle change lives in Jamaica

Donation protected
After 27 years serving in the field of education, Michelle White-guy is looking forward to continuing contributions in her community by way of the new school she set up & opened just over a month ago.

KINDERCARE CHRISTIAN ACADEMY, is a Christian School for 2-6year olds in St Anns, Jamaica.
Michelle believes, education begins and is most successful when minds are young.

The school began just a few weeks ago with only 2 children and, a few weeks later, there are now 14 students in attendance, all being taught various subjects & new skills in the downstairs section of her own home.
At present they have only 6 desks for 6 of the 14 students. The others sit on the floor and there is very little of anything else at the moment. When the children are at school, they all get a cooked meal each day which Michelle makes in her kitchen.

When I spoke to Michelle, a very skilled and passionate teacher, and heard about the marvellous work she has done, and is doing, i decided to organise this fundraiser to ask for your support to purchase materials and equipment for this much needed community project.

Initially she would need basic stationery items such as writing materials, books, craft supplies, a few more desks, a cooker, technological classroom equipment such as a smart TV &  ipads so that children can access programmes on the internet.
In future, she would hopes to be able to hire extra staff and have a permanent school building in the community.

Michelle was born in Kingston but grew up in Gayle, St Mary.  As a young girl growing up in Gayle, she knew that teaching was what she was destined to do.
Her career in education began when she gained employment at the Ramble All-Age school as a pre trained teacher.
Michelle is passionate about the growth and development of children and although it has been a challenging journey, she continues to push forward because of the pleasure she gets from seeing her students excel.
She has been nominated as an outstanding educator. She was recently selected by the ministry of Education for a National Teacher & Principal of the year award 2019-2020  from Steer Town Primary School.

As a member of the Gayle United Pentecostal church Michelle has blossomed into a beautiful servant leader assuming many leadership roles such as, Sunday school teacher, missions director and choir director.

I would like to send her some support asap. Please donate whatever you can, little or large. It will be gratefully received and will go a very long way in Jamaican education.

Thank You in advance!
