Help Michelle Save Shawn Wilbourn's Family Home

My name is Michelle Henderson. As many of you may know, my fiance Shawn Wilbourn passed away January 13 2025 from complications due to a ongoing illness. You may also know our home was one of his prides in life. I was his in home caretaker,employed by the State of IL DORS, full time since 2021. Because of his condition and age he could not be approved for life insurance. I lost out on a lot of income due to his frequent in hospital stays in 2024 and am now unemployed until I can find another full time job. He had loans and debt in his name at his time of death that puts our home at risk of having a lean against it or of being lost. I was wanting to pay for all his expenses, however right now finances and the need to use all savings while he was hospitalized, makes that impossible. I really struggled with my conscience in setting this up, but we really need help. We have owned this house together now for nearly 9 years and it is home not only to my children and myself, but a second home to his two children. If you could see it in your heart to please help, or share. If you can not, please see it in your heart to educate yourselves about both childhood and adult onset adrenoleukodystrophy and the devastating toll it takes not only on those affected but the families that it affects as well.
