Help Michelle's Family w Funeral Cost & Expenses
On the 24th of August, our dear Michelle went to the Lord after battling Covid-19. Michelle leaves behind her sons Peter and Matthew along with many other family members and students who loved her dearly. Although her loss leaves an immense hole in countless hearts, the impact she made in her community is profound and deep seeded.
She had an extraordinary gift and passion for education and helping others, particularly children. She respected all her students equally and advocated fiercely for them. Not even a pandemic could stop her from doing what she loved. Last year while doing virtual instruction Michelle was regularly delivering books and food to students, which was a common weekend occurrence throughout her teaching career. Her life literally revolved around what she could do for her students. To Michelle, love was always a verb. It was action. Her students, friends and family were the very fortunate recipients of that relentless generosity.
Michelle's love for children led her to teach in preschool, elementary school, middle school, and high school. This year she was thrilled to be starting a new position at Sarasota School for Innovative Studies but tragically never got to meet her students there. When she wasn’t in a classroom or with her students, Michelle loved walking the local beaches at sunset, reading and spending time with her dogs, Chance and Belle.
Please keep her family and especially her sons, Matthew and Peter, in your prayers. We thank you in advance for all of your financial support and prayers. Please feel free to comment and leave your favorite memory of Michelle.
