Help Mick Recover from a Hit and Run
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Candace and I’m helping my dear friend, Mick Meyer, recover from a hit and run. On Halloween night, Mick was crossing Moreland Avenue in Atlanta to meet friends when he was directly hit by a car. The driver sped away leaving Mick for dead. Thankfully, Mick had a friend with him who, along with two good samaritans, called 911 and got Mick to the hospital. Mick suffered a broken left arm, shattered left ankle, cracked ribs, and hematoma on his head. Mick spent 7 days in Grady hospital where he underwent major surgery to repair his arm and ankle bones with titanium. Mick had just moved from San Francisco where he was planning to find a new job and have a fresh start in Atlanta. Since Mick was unemployed at the time and not in California, where his Cobra benefits could have helped, he is facing an enormous amount of unexpected after care medical bills. We’d love your help in helping Mick receive the physical therapy he desperately needs to recover, obtaining a lawyer to try to find the person who did this, and in helping Mick get the fresh start he was hoping for without going into too much debt. We are hoping to obtain these funds by the end of the year because the sooner he can begin physical therapy and secure help to bring his perpetrator to justice, the sooner he can begin healing from his physical and mental trauma. Mick is a kind soul who loves music, art, traveling, and being surrounded by his friends and family. He’s a beloved uncle, son, grandson, brother, and friend. We hope you will help us share Mick’s story and find it in your heart to give. Every little bit helps! Thank you for reading and sharing.
