Support Mighty Maverick- Cancer Journey

Donation protected
Meet sweet Maverick Bell, an energetic and loving 3-year-old boy, and big brother to 6- month-old Myles, a true angel sent from heaven. Mav’s days are filled with excitement as he attends Pre-K 3 at Edgemere Elementary, plays soccer for the blue claws, sings his heart out to Bruno Mars, Morgan Wallen, Jelly Roll and spends his afternoons with his favorite Aunt Sandra. Outdoors, he's a bundle of energy, riding his scooter through the neighborhood, jumping on his trampoline and playing soccer.

Recently, the Bells family's world turned upside down when Maverick was admitted to John’s Hopkins Children’s Hospital for a growth in his nasal passage, in the past week this brave young boy has undergone a biopsy, CAT scan, MRI, X Ray, spinal tap and bone marrow test, only to discover that it was indeed cancerous. Now, Mav and his loving family are faced with an unimaginable journey to battle childhood cancer.

As we await the specific diagnosis of the cancer Maverick is bravely confronting, we are certain that the path ahead won't be easy. They've been told to prepare for a year's worth of treatments, including chemotherapy, radiation, medications, frequent hospital visits, and inpatient stays.

The financial strain on the Bell family is substantial. With medical bills piling up, the challenge of household bills, Maverick’s 4th Birthday (December 23rd), Christmas, transportation costs, parking fees, and the need to maintain a sense of normalcy for their 6-month-old, the burden is simply overwhelming. Both Angelina and Austin will potentially need to take unpaid leave from work to support Mav during his treatments.

Your contributions will make a significant difference in Maverick’s battle against cancer. Every donation, no matter the size, will help alleviate the financial burden and allow the family to focus on what matters most – Maverick’s health, well-being, and full recovery.

Thank you for your love, support, and enduring compassion during this challenging time. Together, we can help Mav face this battle with strength and determination. At this time, we ask that you not reach out to Angelina and Austin directly to allow them to focus on Mav’s diagnosis and treatment plan. Questions should be directed to Angelina’s Aunt, Sandra Kersey, as she is assisting the family during these unforeseen times. #mightymaverick
