Help Mikayla's struggle with severe Gastroparesis

Mikayla is 23 yrs old and has struggled most of her life. Her mother died in a car accident when she was 3 months old. She was raised by her grandparents and was adopted by them. She has had Juvenile Rheumatoid Arthritis since she was a child. She had aspirations of being a social worker. In college her disease got worse and she was unable to finish. Since then she has developed Gastroparesis with reverse motility. Since November 2020 she has had to be tube fed and is attached to an IV pole 24 hrs a day. She has had 4 surgeries to try and get one tube going into her stomach and another tube for her formula feed to go straight into her jejunum (small intestine) for her to get nutrition. She cannot at this time move back home to her grandparents/parents. They are retired now in Florida and live on a fixed income. Mikayla lives in Virginia where all of her doctors are located. There is no possible way with her malnutrition, weakness and being attached to an IV with tubes going into her stomach that she could possibly maintain a job. She has gotten state help with her medical bills but doesn't qualify for additional aid because she has no children. She has also applied for disability but hasn't heard anything, since the Covid situation that process takes even longer. I am doing this fundraiser for her because she has zero income and still has rent to pay, gas needs to get to the doctor, utilities and daily life. I cannot imagine being 23 years old and knowing you will never be able to eat food again because your stomach is paralyzed. Her situation has become critical because the first of the month has come again, rent needs paid, and she has no way to help herself.
