Fundraiser for Georgia's CCL Surgery Costs
Donation protected
This is Georgia, the sweetest 3-year-old rescue dog in the world and my brother Ben's best friend. Georgia was recently diagnosed with a torn CCL and must now undergo a TPLO (tibial plateau leveling osteotomy) surgery to stabilize her knee joint. This procedure involves cutting and rotating the top of the shin bone to stabilize the joint with a plate and screws. Unfortunately, the total estimated cost of this surgery is between $4500-$5000.
If she does not receive surgery soon to repair her CCL, the ligament could sever completely and eventually lead to the development of bone spurs, pain, arthritis, and a decreased range of motion. The high cost of this surgery is something my brother would have to save up for a long time to be able to afford, and sweet Georgia just can't wait that long. She is a very active and playful dog that deserves to enjoy a pain-free life. Even a small donation would help get her to the vet sooner. Your help is appreciated more than words can express.
