Help Mike and His Family with His Medical Bills

Hi my name is Gabby Baldwin and I'm fundraising on behalf of my father, Mike Baldwin, and the rest of our family. As many of you know, my dad was diagnosed with COVID-19 on August 18, 2021. He was admitted to the hospital on August 21st and has since been transferred to ICU, where he is still in critical condition. He is currently on the C-PAP machine helping him breathe and is not able to be off of oxygen. The current pressing issue is the large amount of fluid in his lungs along with not being able to breathe on his own. Although he didn't have underlying conditions, his body is not recovering at the speed the doctor's anticipated. Today, he was sedated so his body could rest until further notice. His team has been very diligent with him and has updated us everyday with his progress, but there is still no timeline for his recovery.

Unfortunately, my dad has lost his insurance through his work due to the company filing for bankruptcy just weeks ago, causing him to lose his job and benefits. Because of this, all of his medical bills and COBRA insurance fees are out of pocket. There is no telling when my dad can go back to work because his construction business is such a physically demanding occupation. We originally thought this new path for our family was a blessing since they were moving out of the state, but doctor's say it will be months until my dad is able to make the trip across the country.

I'm reaching out to you because he was either your coach, mentor, boss, neighbor, brother in Christ, and so much more. He's never asked for anything from anyone, but has never hesitated to lend a helping hand when anyone needed him. Everyone knows him as the man who is there for every community, church, school, and sport event so he could help. He gives and gives and gives. I'm reaching out for him because he would never do this on his own for himself, despite the need. Thank you for all of your wonderful thoughts, prayers, and messages.
