Maui, Hawaii was hit with torrential rain and flooding yesterday. My brother and sister-in-law, Mike and Keala, have a beautiful property in Haiku. They have a dry creek bed running through the property that is no longer dry and could not hold the amount of water and debris that came through. They managed to evacuate to a friend's home safely and are now just assessing the damage, since the creek bed is dry, their is no flood insurance and the damage to the drive way and bridge is extensive. There is more rain on the way, so prayers are appreciated. If you can help, all of the proceeds will go to repairing the driveway and bridge and making the property accessible and safe for my brother and his family of 5. Mahalo!
