Help Mike Burke Start Over

Dear Friends, Family, and Rugby Community Members,

We are contacting you to share devastating news about our friend and rugby mate, Mike Burke. On Saturday afternoon, tragedy struck when a fire destroyed Mike's home in North Webster. Thankfully, no one was injured, but the house is a total loss, and Mike has lost nearly everything he owned.

The Tippecanoe Township Fire Territory responded quickly to the scene, with assistance from the Winona Lake Fire Department, Turkey Creek Fire Territory, Plain Township Fire Department, and Pierceton Fire Department. Despite their best efforts, the house could not be saved, and firefighters remained on the scene until at least 4:30 p.m. to ensure the fire was completely extinguished. The cause of the fire is still unknown.

Mike has been a pillar of our rugby community, known for his camaraderie and willingness to help others in need. Now, it’s our turn to help him. Although he does have insurance, it will not cover all the costs of rebuilding his life and home. He has lost personal belongings and essential daily needs.

We are starting this GoFundMe campaign to support Mike as he begins the long and challenging process of rebuilding. The funds raised will go directly towards helping him replace essential items, secure temporary housing, and start the reconstruction of his home. Every donation, no matter how small, will make a significant impact.
